Simple Vibrations in Flash

So, last time we staggered a simple tween with David Wolfe’s Tween 2 Keys plugin. Now let’s use it for a quick and dirty vibration. This tutorial will build off of Staggered Timing in Flash, so be sure to glance at it first before jumping into this one.

So, below, I’ve created a little example of Sir Fancypants getting struck by an arrow:

Right now, that arrow is looking pretty flaccid, eh? So, to sell this shot, let’s add some life by giving it that “thwong” vibration.

Staggered Timing in Flash

Last week Adam Phillips wrote a nice tutorial on Staggering Tweens using the Custom Ease window new to Flash 8 Professional. While it’s a nice little diddy, I find the Custom Ease tool a bit cumbersome in general and really bothersome for long sequences. So, I decided to share my own technique.
