Finally dug into this K2 CSS that I’ve been neglecting. Fixed some weird layout and color issues that broke when I updated WordPress and K2. Headers are now READABLE!
Updated my WordPress, along with K2 which is causing some layout and color issues on the site. More work to be done!
On the positive side, the upgrade let me use the Flickr gallery plug-in. This means I finally have an easy way to post new work and I’ll be using it to display everything (Coppermine, it was nice while it lasted, but I’ve move on.).
To prove it, here’s some MUA2 concepts:
Last post was in September? Really? Pathetic.
So, I’m slowly making good on my promise to update the site. I’ve got Coppermine set up and I’m working on adjusting the style to match the blog. It’s not in viewing condition yet, but it’s functional, which means I can upload new work and post it here. So, I’ll be doing that to resuscitate this long dead corpse of a blog.
In general, I’ve given up on having a “cool” custom site and opted for ease of update. Basically, this means WordPress and Coppermine.
Speaking of new art, lately I’ve been playing with an idea for an IP. So last night, I had a little all-night paint party (nerd!) and created a possible cover illo:

And here’s a few steps (sketch, underpainting, final):

Wow! Been too long:
Just needed to say that MUA2 released earlier this week. I was the primary character concept artist on the project (360/PS3) and we all had a blast making it. I hope fans of the first will appreciate it. It was my first time being a dedicated concept artist on a project and I learned a TON. I’ll be post my concepts soon, but I’m currently on a deadline for children’s book illustrations, so once I come up for air I’ll share some stuff.
Until then, just buy it.
