Mixed Messages: Animations

Mixed Messages is now available for download on DSiWare, so I thought I’d share a little of the work I did on the project. In a nutshell, I made cute stuff. Everything was drawn and animated (scarey!) in Photoshop CS3. Plus, IGN gave us an 8.0, eat it Kotaku! :)

This one didn’t make the cut. I guess showing someone throw the hardware is a bad thing.

Mixed Messages for Nintendo DSi

A new game I worked on will be hitting the virtual shelves on Monday. I was only on the project for 2 weeks, but this game has a long history at the studio. It started as a grassroots project by a couple of the guys and has been getting passed around the place ever since. I’m glad to finally see it available for public hands. So, if you’ve got the new DSi, I highly recommend it. It’s a very simple game mechanic but loads of fun with a group of friends.

Here’s an article about it.

Below are a few screens from the net. My task was to polish and animate the UI, and design, draw and animate all the little cutesy doodles you see throughout the game. It was alot of fun for a short project and since it wasn’t based on an existing franchise, we had alot of input into the final look. Hopefully I can post some of the animations on here soon.
