Well, the first preview with screen shots from Transformers DS just hit IGN. I was responsible for designing the UI, HUD and Special FX.

So, I’ve been struggling over a question as of late. For whatever reason, writing and posting these sorts of quandaries is an urge I can rarely resist. So, please forgive this non-art-related tangled mind purge. I’ll draw later.
Recently, over an instant message conversation with my little sister, Lisa, with some excitement she says to me,
Dave! I finally remembered that thing I wanted to tell you about!! Have you heard about the ‘Buddha Boy’?
Well, it’s done and I’m none too pleased. After painting up Gandalf, I decided to have a go at my favorite character from The Hobbit. As a kid, I was exposed to Rankin/Bass’ animated version long before I bothered to pick up the book and the best scene without question is the encounter with Gollum:
So, I doodled for a few uninspired minutes and decided to flesh out this doodle:
Yes, the pose was mirrored and rather ordinary, but I nonetheless continued on. What followed was a process fully of folly and regret which finally resulted in this image:
